Thomas Pietsch takes over as Van Press Officer at MAN Truck & Bus

Summary

The former commercial vehicle journalist is bringing many years of editorial experience to his new position.

Thomas Pietsch, 43, has been the new Van Press Officer for MAN Truck & Bus AG in Munich since 1 January 2019. His new role will involve speaking for the van segment of the Munich commercial vehicle manufacturer at an international level.

Pietsch began working at MAN Truck & Bus in 2017, and since then has worked in the department for product management and strategy for buses/coaches. For the business graduate (from a university of applied sciences), the switch to the MAN communications department is a return to his roots. He previously worked for ten years as editor-in-chief and deputy editor-in-chief for different titles at a well-known specialist publisher in Munich, among other things. Pietsch’s new position allows him to take advantage of his in-depth knowledge of the European commercial vehicle sector and trade press; he is also very knowledgeable about the field of commercial vehicle workshops and service.

Thomas Pietsch is replacing Nikolas Waldura, who has left the company to pursue new challenges. As part of his role, the Van Press Officer reports to Martin Böckelmann, the Head of Product Communication at MAN Truck & Bus AG.
