MAN hits the mark for major deal with key customer
Leading truck manufacturer MAN Truck & Bus UK has worked closely with BNP Paribas Rental Solutions and its client Interserve to strike a deal for 10 MAN TGSs and two MAN TGLs.
The three firms worked closely over a period of more than 12 months to guarantee all the requirements were met.
Interserve was looking to replace an ageing and mixed fleet of vehicles and turned to the experts at BNP Paribas Rental Solutions to help secure the best.
Phil Hughes, Interserve group transport manager, explained: "We were carrying out a full review of our HGV fleet and based on my previous experience as a user of MANs I knew they would offer a strong product, good fuel consumption and good value compared to the competition.
"We took delivery of a 26 tonne MAN TGS about 12 months ago and our experience with that vehicle influenced our decision to go ahead and place the order for 12 more new.
"We are keen to standardise the fleet and have all the vehicles with a similar spec so that we can interchange them from depot to depot depending on where they are needed most"
"We worked closely with BNP Paribas Rental Solutions and were able to secure the vehicles we wanted through MAN and we have been impressed with our experience."
Darren Turley, business development manager for BNP Paribas Rental Solutions, added: "We are delighted to work with MAN Truck & Bus UK and Interserve on this contract hire deal, which is a significant investment for Interserve.
"The new vehicles are bespoke, fully compliant and fitted with the latest safety equipment including remote controls for the drivers to operate the cranes. It is a real image upgrade for Interserve and we will be managing and maintaining the fleet.
Neil Waters, MAN key account manager, said: "It has been a major collaboration and I am delighted that Interserve and BNP Paribas Rental Solutions selected MAN to meet their requirements and are satisfied with the marque and the levels of customer care they have received.
"The MAN vehicles are the perfect solution and create a modern, fuel efficient and fully compliant fleet."
