Langendorf as new Head of Communications at MAN

Summary

Dr Marc Langendorf (48) has taken over as Head of Communications and Public Affairs at MAN Truck & Bus. He previously worked for Telefónica, where he was most recently Head of Communications for Telefónica Deutschland / o2. Marc Langendorf succeeds Pietro Zollino, who already moved to the parent company TRATON GROUP as Head of Group Communications, Governmental Relations & Sustainability on 1 November 2021.

"MAN is undergoing the biggest transformation in its history, which spans more than 260 years. Our customers' requirements in terms of the sustainability of our products are changing fundamentally. The same applies to the degree of their digitalization. I am looking forward to working with Marc Langendorf, who has many years of communications experience in both fields and who is returning to Volkswagen," said the new CEO of MAN Truck & Bus, Alexander Vlaskamp.

Before joining Telefónica, Marc Langendorf was Head of Corporate Communications at Volkswagen from 2018 to 2020, where he was responsible for the Group's and brand's business and financial press relations. Previously, he held a senior position at the strategic communications consultancy Brunswick. Between 2006 and 2015, Langendorf held various positions at Siemens AG in Munich and Washington, D.C., most recently as Deputy Head of Corporate Communications & Government Affairs. At the same time, he taught "Media and Communication Management" at Munich's Macromedia University. Before moving into corporate communications, Marc Langendorf worked as a journalist at Dow Jones.
