Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE extends contract with Head of Sales Friedrich Baumann

The Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE has extended Friedrich Baumann's contract as Executive Board member for Sales & Customer Solutions for a further five years until 2030, effective April 1, 2025.

“Over the past two years, Friedrich Baumann has played a key role in helping MAN successfully drive forward customer value strategy as well as sales efficiency. He is a great addition to both the MAN Executive Board team and the TRATON GROUP and has contributed to the cooperation in the group,” said Christian Levin, Chairman of the Supervisory Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE and Chief Executive Officer of TRATON SE. “We are very much looking forward to continuing to work with him.”

Alexander Vlaskamp, Chairman of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE, added: “Friedrich Baumann is an important pillar of our Executive Board team with his extensive international experience, his strategic understanding and his in-depth knowledge of the industry. He has played a key role in MAN's sales successes over the last two years and the expansion of our product range for our customers towards zero emissions. For example, MAN has become market leader in Europe for electric buses, was the first European manufacturer to launch a small series of hydrogen-powered trucks and will deliver the first e-trucks to customers this year. Baumann has been a member of the Executive Board of MAN Truck & Bus SE since April 2022 and is responsible for Sales & Customer Solutions. Previously, he had been on the Executive Board of Navistar since 2018, where he was responsible for the Aftersales organization including the Parts & Service, Uptime and Warranty departments. In his last role, he transformed Navistar's sales business into an integrated organization.

Baumann began his career in 1993 at Daimler Trucks North America. There and at other Daimler AG companies, he held various management positions in the areas of purchasing, used vehicles and remanufacturing. Prior to joining Navistar, Baumann led Daimler Trucks North America's aftermarket business and was a member of the Operating Committee.
