MAN Engines and luxury yacht makers Sunseeker extend their supplier relationship

Summary

Performance range from 1200 to 2000 hp; large service network for MAN engines

Engine manufacturer MAN Engines and British luxury yacht makers Sunseeker International have once again extended their supplier relationship. MAN Engines has been supplying propulsion engines to the premium manufacturer in Poole in the south of England for several decades. "Our brand promise is to deliver the best possible quality to our customers. So, we are delighted to be continuing our long-standing partnership with MAN Engines," says Andrea Frabetti, CEO of Sunseeker International.

"We would like to thank Sunseeker for continuing to place their trust in us. We are looking forward to working together in future to promote innovations in yacht building and cutting-edge drive technology," says Claus Benzler, Head of Marine MAN Engines, who joined Sunseeker International CEO Andrea Frabetti at the Boot exhibition in Düsseldorf to sign the contract for the future plans.

The supply agreement between Sunseeker and MAN Engines covers engine series from the top performance range of V8 and V12 products, delivering outputs of between 1200 and 2000 hp (882 to 1471 kW). The engines are fully compliant with the currently applicable emissions standards IMO Tier II, EPA Tier 3 recreational and China 2 recreational, and can therefore be sold and operated worldwide. Yacht customers with MAN engines can rely on there always being at least one of nearly 500 service stations for yacht engines near to their marina.

MAN Engines fits the supplied engines into the various boat series 76 Yacht, 74 Sport Yacht, Predator 75 and Manhattan 68. The largest product line to be powered by MAN engines is the Sunseeker 90 Ocean, which features two MAN V12-1900 engines, each delivering an output of 1900 hp (1397 kW).
