MAN Engines: Tim Schlüter takes over management of Power market segment

Tim Schlüter (39) will take over as Head of Power for the Power market segment at MAN Engines on 1 March 2022. His new area of responsibility will include sales, application technology and service support for diesel and gas engines for power and heat generation. “Tim Schlüter is a manager who has outstanding market and product knowledge, not to mention many years of experience in the distribution of OEM components. Mr Schlüter will drive forward and further develop the Power market segment at MAN Engines in a sustainable manner, and launch products that contribute to our goal of greenhouse gas neutrality,” says Reiner Roessner, Head of Sales at MAN Engines.

Schlüter studied International Management & Management Studies in Flensburg (Germany) and in Mexico. It was there that he started his career, joining the Finance & Projects department of MAN Truck & Bus México in 2010. After transferring to the On-Road division of MAN Engines in Germany, he looked after key accounts in The Americas and was responsible for business development for Spanish-speaking countries, including North America. Schlüter later moved to the Power market segment, where he looked after major customers, expanded the sales network for stationary diesel and gas engines in Central and South America, and managed various customer development projects. In the past two years, Schlüter has been focusing on the topic of alternative drives as part of a staff unit. This work included, among other things, the development of a distribution channel for batteries as well as strategic responsibility for 2nd life and recycling of batteries. Schlüter will report to Reiner Roessner, Head of Sales, MAN Engines.
