MAN opens new service center in Lithuania

• One of the largest MAN locations in Europe with capacity of over 1,300 vehicles per month and over 7,000 square meters usable area

MAN Truck & Bus continues to expand its European service network. Together with the Adampolis Group, MAN’s official importer in Lithuania, the company has opened a new service center in Kaunas, Lithuania. With a usable area of more than 7,000 square meters and a capacity of over 1,300 vehicles per month, the facility is one of the largest MAN service centers in Europe. The investment of more than €20 million underscores the long-term strategic commitment shared by MAN and its long-standing partner Adampolis.

The new site combines sales, service, maintenance, repairs and spare parts supply in one location. Equipped with state-of-the-art workshop and diagnostic technology, it helps minimizing vehicle downtime and maximizing fleet availability. At the same time, the service centre has already been prepared for the requirements of the mobility transition. It features the infrastructure needed to service battery-electric vehicles and other alternative drive technologies, including dedicated charging and building systems.

Part of something bigger

The opening is part of the largest service investment program in the history of MAN Truck & Bus. Between 2025 and the end of 2030, the company will invest more than €300 million across Europe in expanding and modernizing its sales and service network. In addition, its partners will invest around €400 million over the same period. The goal is to further increase customer proximity, expand network coverage, and prepare locations for the requirements of e-mobility and digital service processes. The program includes modernizations, expansions and new-build projects as well as investments in infrastructure and employee qualification.

The investment comes at a time when e-mobility is gaining considerable momentum in Lithuania. With the recent order for 112 MAN Lion’s City E buses by the public transport operator Vilniaus viešasis transportas (VVT), MAN secured the largest electric bus order in the country to date. The new service centre in Kaunas has already been designed to meet the requirements of electric drivetrains and thereby supports the transformation of the transport sector in the region.

Strategic location for European freight transport

Kaunas is one of the most important logistics locations in the Baltic region. The city connects markets in Central and Eastern European markets with Scandinavia and benefits from major infrastructure projects such as Rail Baltica as well as the expansion of intermodal logistics hubs. Against this backdrop, the region is becoming increasingly important for international freight flows and transport networks. The new service centre strengthens MAN’s presence in a market that is developing dynamically and offers strong long-term growth potential.

The opening in Kaunas marks another milestone in the long-standing partnership between MAN and the Adampolis Group. The company has been a MAN partner in Lithuania since the 1990s and has since developed into one of the leading commercial vehicle groups in the Baltic region.
