International success: Express bus operator from Malaysia orders 67 coaches on MAN chassis

The E-Mutiara Berhad consortium, one of Malaysia's leading express bus operators, has ordered a total of 67 chassis from MAN Truck & Bus. The Euro 5 RR5 26.440 chassis form the basis for 12 single-deckers and 55 double-deckers. Local manufacturer Gemilang is responsible for the bodywork. The first 10 double-decker coaches were handed over to the consortium at the Gemilang plant in Johor in July. The remaining vehicles are to be delivered in the coming months. E-Mutiara offers express bus connections to all major cities on the Malaysian peninsula and in Singapore. In future, the 67 new coaches will also be used on these routes.
